Sprouts on the generosity and involvement of our community to keep our projects thriving. From raising awareness to making donations, every act of support helps us make a real difference. Whether you’re an individual, a local business, a school, or a community group, there are many meaningful ways to get involved and support Sprouts.
Donate Items
As a community charity, we are always grateful for donations of food, clothing, and essential household items. These directly support local families and individuals through our community shop and outreach events. If you’re able to contribute, donations can be dropped off at The Community Shop on the corner of Peel Street in Thornaby.
We accept non-perishable food, clean clothing, bedding and towels, small household items, and working electrical goods. Your support helps us ensure no one in our community goes without the basics.
Make a Financial Contribution
Every penny you give helps us create healthier, more connected communities. We’re committed to using funds carefully and effectively, and your donation, whether big or small, goes a long way in supporting our services. A one-off gift can help us provide meals, grow our community garden, or run a vital cooking workshop.
By becoming a monthly donor, you give us the stability to plan for the future. Knowing we have ongoing support allows us to respond to urgent needs, expand our reach, and offer consistent, long-term help to those who need it most.
Corporate Partnerships
If you’re a local business looking for a meaningful way to fulfil your Corporate Social Responsibility goals, we’d love to partner with you. Support from the business community is vital to helping us keep our services running, reach more people, and build innovative new projects. Every partnership is unique.
Whether through staff volunteering, sponsorship, fundraising, or donating goods or services, we’ll work with you to create a mutually beneficial and rewarding relationship. Let’s explore how we can make a lasting impact together.
Schools & Community Groups
Fundraising and awareness activities are a fantastic way for young people and local groups to get involved while learning about food justice, health inequalities, and sustainability. From bake sales and food drives to sponsored walks and themed events, we’re here to support and celebrate your efforts. We can even visit to talk about our work or run a workshop to inspire your group to take action in their own way.
Why Your Support Matters
Sprouts exists to enhance the nutritional, physical, and mental well-being of our community, especially in Stockton and Thornaby.
Through our community shops, cooking and growing workshops, family events, and health-focused projects, we empower people of all ages to live healthier, more hopeful lives. We also fight food waste by collecting surplus food from local supermarkets and making it available to anyone in need through our no-referral-needed shop.
